El Geneina, July 31(Darfur 24)

Member of the Presidential Council of Sudan Founding Alliance Government (Tasis), Al-Tahir Hajar, and the Governor of Darfur Region, Al-Hadi Idris, issued an appeal to the residents of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State, to evacuate the city immediately and head to the Qarni area, where “Tasis” forces are deployed to provide security and services, according to them.

In a statement seen by Darfur 24, Hajar called on the city’s residents to evacuate the city to preserve their lives in light of the dangerous deterioration of the humanitarian and security situation.

He thanked the residents who had previously responded to calls to leave hazardous areas, stressing that this step contributed to reducing civilian casualties.

He added, “The situation inside El Fasher has reached a level of danger that makes remaining in the city a real threat to the lives and safety of civilians.”

He confirmed that the Tasis coalition forces are deployed in all directions around the city and are fully prepared to secure safe passages and provide protection for civilians leaving El Fasher.

In this context, the Governor of Darfur, Al-Hadi Idris, in a video posted on the official page of the Darfur Regional Government, called on the residents of El Fasher to leave and head to the Qarni area, where Tasis coalition forces are deployed to secure them and provide basic services.
