Hundreds of Abdul Wahid Nour supporters took to the street on Monday, January
6, 2020 in a number of Sudanese cities. The protest is aimed at putting pressure
on the transitional government to extradite those accused of war crimes and
crimes against humanity in Darfur to the International Criminal Court.

In El Fasher, North Darfur, dozens of protesters participated in street
demonstrations demanding the handover of the accused to the International
Criminal Court.

The Hague based International Criminal Court is pursuing a number of leaders of
the former regime, such as Omar al-Bashir, Ahmed Haroun and Abdel-Rahim
Muhammad Hussein, for their role in war crimes and crimes against humanity in
Darfur region, western Sudan.

Meanwhile, Darfur 24 reporter, stated that youths gathered from Al-Fasher
University and a number of the city’s neighborhoods, chanting slogans demanding
the extradition of 51 suspects to ICC.

The march ended with organizing a public rally in the middle of El Fasher market.
The gathering was attended by a number of citizens, in which the speakers
requested the government of Hamdok to urgently hand over the accused to the
International Criminal Court .
