The committee that tasked with dismantling June 30, 1989 regime issued a
decision Tuesday, January 7, 2020 to confiscate all premises of the National
Congress Party in the capital and the states. It also decided to seize the accounts
and assets of the Al-Shorouk and Taiba channels as well as Al-Rai Alaam and Al-
Sudan newspapers, until the investigations are completed.

Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday evening, deputy Chairman of the
Committee, member of the Sovereign Council, Mohamed Faki Suleiman,
confirmed that employees of the institutions will not be affected.

The Sovereign council member explained that the move is not intended to settle
scores. “ but it is rather meant to dismantle the one-party state in favor of all
the Sudanese people”. He added.
“ The committee will take legal measures against anyone who refuses to
surrender the institutions that have been confiscated, and It is permissible to
appeal the committee’s decisions after the implementation ”. Alfaki further
added.

The implementation may not be suspended and immunity measures will not be
adopted against any person. He concluded
For his part, Salah Manna, the committee spokesperson, said the committee
targets all the corrupt and those who have committed crimes against the
Sudanese people during the past thirty years.

“The subcommittee has confiscated all NCP premises , and we are working on
property inventory”. He added
Meanwhile, he also announced the dissolution of the unions and the Employers
and business Union, alongside the Noble Qur’an Association as well as
confiscation of the latter’s assets.
