February 20, 2020 (Khartoum) The General Command of the Armed Forces revealed the reasons for retiring First Lieutenant Mohamed Siddiq Ibrahim.

The Sudanese army stressed that the motives for his retirement are derived from laws regulating the work of the armed forces.

A decision was taken Tuesday, to retire Mohamed Siddiq and other army officers, some of whom had sided with the Sudanese revolution before the fall of al-Bashir.  But the spokesman for the Transitional Sovereign Council of Sudan, Mohamed al-Faki Suleiman, tweeted yesterday evening,   that the  army had revoked  its decision with regards to retiring  of the law-ranking  army officers.

The army  statement, pointed out that Mohamed Sadiq, on 3/17/2019, and before joining the sit-in, moved an armed vehicle with individuals to the Haj-Youssef police station and assaulted and abused police officers and destroyed equipment.

The decision to retire the officers caused a wave of widespread anger among the youth , especially the retirement  of officer Mohamed Seddiq.
