April 24, 2020 (Aldaein) Darfur24 has learned from reliable sources , that Military Intelligence on Thursday had transferred the leader of the Mahamid clan, head of the Revolutionary Awakening Council, Musa Hilal, and the other people detained with him, from the military prison to house arrest in the suburb of Arkwit, Khartoum, under heavy guard.
According to the sources, the transfer of Mahameed tribal leader and his companions to house arrest ,came in response to the recommendations of the conference of elders of Rizeigat tribe, which had recently been held in Zalingei, the capital of Central Darfur state.
It’s worth noting that Rizeigat tribe had held a unification conference in the city of Zalingei last Saturday. However, the meeting which lasted five days, was headed by deputy Nazir of Rizeigat, Saeed Madbou, and a number military and youth leaders, besides native adminstration representatives.
killing of Juma Daglo(brother of Hemeti) and the arrest of Musa Hilal, has caused a great division between the two clans of Rizeigat tribe, from which the two men descends , and created a social and racial division between the Mahamid and Mahariya clans.
