July 12, 2020 -On Sunday, Sudanese police forces fired tear gas and live ammunition to disperse hundreds of protesters in in Kutum, North Darfur.

The disperse of the sit-in,  coincide  with the visit of a high-level State government delegation  , headed by the Secretary General of the Government, Mohamed Ibrahim Abdel Karim and a number of officials to
Kutum locality.

In a telephonic conversation, eyewitness Adam Saleh, told Darfur 24, that police had dispersed Kutum sit-in by force.

He added, ” live bullets and  tear gas were used to break up the protest ,as one of the protesters, was seriously wounded in the incident, and  was transferred to a local hospital in  Kutum”.
