Scores killed, injured in tribal fighting in South Darfur

July 30, 2020 (Nyala) Scores of people  were killed and  dozens others njured in a tribal clashes between Taaisha and Falata tribes Thursday, in the disputed area of Meganqari  that located between Um
Dafouk and Dimsu localities.

A community leaders from Um Dafouk told Darfur 24  that the area of Meganqari had witnessed on Thursday two battles between Falata andTaaisha tribes  in , in which heavy and light weapons were used,  and stated that the two battles resulted in the killing of more than 20 people from both sides and wounding dozens others.

A delegation from the Sovereign Council headed by Mohamed Hassan Al-Tayashi discussed with the community leaders the reality of the tense situation between the two tribees during its visit to the Um
dafouk two months ago.
