The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM)  led by Malik Aqar , has warned that some parties are deliberately inciting  communities of South Kordofan state into civil wars by adopting ethnic mobilization
and spreading hate speech to fragment the social fabric in the state , using Khor- Alwaral incident as a pretext.

Yesterday, the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Popular Movement, Al-Hilou faction, traded  accusations. The armed forces said that forces affiliated with the Popular Movement of Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu faction, had killed shepherds and a number of regular forces in the Khor Al-Waral  area in South Kordofan, and destroyed military and civilian equipment, while Al-Hilu movement accused the transitional
government of committing new security breaches in South Kordofan through tribal militias, which resulted in the displacement of citizens.

The Secretary-General of the Popular Movement, Khamis Jalab, confirmed, in a statement seen by Darfur 24 today, Saturday, that he was  confident that the people of South Kordofan would  not respond to such a  scheme that threatens peace in the state in the future.

Jalab appealed to the people  of Southern Kordofan and Nuba Mountains to strengthen and preserve the social fabric,  calling for peaceful coexistence and tolerance. He also  urged  the two parties to resort
to wisdom and  resolve their differences through peaceful and civil methods inherited from the ancestors, given that the different communities of the state are governed by history, destiny and a common
future.
