August 10, 2020 (Khartoum) The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement – North led by Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu,has accused leader of the national Umma Party, Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi,  of  involvement  in the incidents of
Khor Al-Waral and being bias towards the Hawazma ethnic group.

The armed struggle movement  , has  disavowed the accusation of the Governor of South Kordofan ,Hamid al-Bashir Ibrahim of blocking nomads seasonal routes, that the Hawazmah tribe uses annually, through
Onsho areas on the way to the villages of North Kordofan. The Kauda based  movement, refuted the governor’s allegations that the SPLM-N Alhilu had confronted the shepherds while  driving their cattle
on the nomad seasonal routes, killing three herders and wounding eight last Thursday.

The Secretary-General of the Movement, Ammar Daldum, said today “Monday” in a statement obtained by “Darfur 24” that what happened in Khor Al-Waral was caused by the mobilization of “Al-Mahdi” of the
armed forces and rapid support in the Eid al-Adha sermon and an extension of his “hellish” plans to arm Arab tribes In the Nuba Mountains and Darfur.

Umma Party had previously issued a statement, accusing the SPLM –N Alhilu of being involved in those incidents and attacking cattle herders ,returning from the south to the north, which the movement
considered as an escape and refraining from bearing responsibility for these incident.

The SPLM-N Alhilu ,held the Governor, Hamid Al-Bashir Ibrahim and his government responsible for what happened, and promised that if the transitional government did not withdraw its forces and militias from
the Khor Al-Waral   of the liberated areas immediately, they would exercise their legitimate right to self-defense – as the statement said -.

The movement,   considered the accusations of Governor Hamid as a desperate attempt to discredit it as a major force in proposing its vision, which forms the basis of a radical solution to the Sudanese
problem.

Daldum emphasized, that the SPLM-North is keen on peaceful coexistence, between the components of the Sudanese peoples and addressing the rifts that hit the social fabric through peaceful means through achieving a just, lasting and sustainable peace that addresses the roots of the Sudanese problem and turns the page of wars.
