The Sudan People Liberation Movment led by Abdelaziz Alhilu, has disavowed the accusation of the Governor of South Kordofan ,Hamid al-Bashir Ibrahim of blocking  nomads seasonal routes, that the
Hawazmah tribe uses annually, through Onsho areas on the way to the villages of North Kordofan.

The armed struggle movement, refuted the governor’s allegations that the SPLM-N Alhilu had confronted the shepherds while  driving their cattle on the nomad seasonal routes, killing three herders and
wounding eight last Thursday.

The movement denied the governor’s accusation that it had planted mines that harm everyone, including animals.

Earlier this week, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement led by Agar said that  there were  parties deliberately pushing the communities of South Kordofan State into civil wars, by adopting ethnic mobilization and spreading hate speech to fragment the social fabric of the state.

Last week,  the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Popular Movement, Al-Hilou faction, traded  accusations.

The armed forces said that forces affiliated with the Popular Movement of Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu faction, had killed shepherds and a number of regular forces in the Khor Al-Waral  area in South Kordofan, and destroyed military and civilian equipment, while Al-Hilu movement accused the transitional government of committing new security breaches in South Kordofan through tribal militias, which resulted in
the displacement of citizens.

The Secretary-General of the Popular Movement, Khamis Jalab, confirmed, in a statement seen by Darfur 24 today, Saturday, that he was  confident that the people of South Kordofan would  not respond to
such a  scheme that threatens peace in the state in the future.

Jalab appealed to the people  of Southern Kordofan and Nuba Mountains to strengthen and preserve the social fabric,  calling for peaceful coexistence and tolerance. He also  urged  the two parties to resort
to wisdom and  resolve their differences through peaceful and civil methods inherited from the ancestors, given that the different. Communities of the state are governed by history, destiny and a common future.

In a statement seen by Darfur24, the movement denied any link with incident of Khor-Alwaral, saying that the incident was between cattle herders from Hawazma tribe and farmers that belongs to Onshu tribe.

The movement emphasized that it was not a party to this dispute and conflict and does not support or fight on the side of any of the parties, appealing to the two parties to stop the escalation.

The SPLM-N Alhilu ,held the Governor, Hamid Al-Bashir Ibrahim and his government responsible for what happened, and promised that if the transitional government did not withdraw its forces and militias from
the Khor Al-Waral   of the liberated areas immediately, they would exercise their legitimate right to self-defense – as the statement said -.
