August 9, 2020 (El-Fashir) 4 people have died and 6 others are missing as a result of the torrential rains in Kabkabiya, North Darfur.
On Saturday evening, Kabkabiya witnessed heavy rain that caused great damage to citizens’ homes and farms, forcing more than 2 thousand people to flee their homes and take shelter in schools and
government facilities.
The executive director of the locality, Abdul Rahim Ahmadai Shannan, told Darfur 24”that among the deaths was a woman and two children, all of whom drowned as a result of torrential rains in the area.
Ahmadai appealed to the state authorities and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene to help the affected residents.
