September 26, 2020 (Khartoum) This morning, the sessions  of the first national economic conference began, under the slogan “Towards comprehensive reform and sustainable economic development,” in order
to lay down a roadmap for correcting the productive and development path to achieve the renaissance and prosperity of the Sudanese nation, under the auspices of the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdullah Hamdok.

Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, has pledged that the outcomes and recommendations of the economic conference will find full support and
implementation from the Sudanese government.

Addressing the opening session of the economic conference at   in the Friendship Hall,  in the capital, Khartoum, Al-Burhan said the should be a starting point for Sudan’s accession to the global economy and
it’s  removed from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.

It is hoped that the conference will provide a platform for an open and transparent discussion that provides an opportunity for national dialogue between the components of the state, represented by the
federal government, states, freedom and change, workers, the private sector, civil society organizations, youth and feminist organizations, universities, and economic and social research organizations.
