October 22, 2020 (Khartoum) Government forces have arrested the former Public Education Minister, Dr. Hamid Mohamed Ali Touraine, and the native adminstration leader, Bashir Al-Samani.
Sources close to Dr. Toraine told Darfur 24 that government forces wearing a rapid support Forces uniform, apprehended the former education minister from his home at 1 am on Tuesday to took him an unknown destination.
Rapid Support Forces RSF launched a large-scale arrest campaign during the past two days, including a number of political and social leaders in Darfur.
However, the arrest comes at the background of failed coup attempt in which the current transitional government accuses Islamic officers of being behind it.
