November 23, 2020 (Khartoum) Khartoum State banned On Sunday, gatherings and holding public parties and sports activities in gyms, and also banned the work of hookah shops to curb spread of Coronavirus.

On Saturday, the Ministry of Health announced registration of 309 new cases of Coronavirus, along with 8 deaths, in a strong indication of the increasing spread of the virus, which is striking strongly in its second wave.

Governor of Khartoum, Ayman Nimr, on Sunday demanded that citizens adhere to all health requirements issued by the Supreme Committee for Health Emergencies and the Joint Committee in the state.

The decision obligated governmental and private institutions in the state to limit work to 50% of the workforce, with the exception of vital sectors in countries, and the decision also prohibited mass gatherings such as public parties and crowds at graduation ceremonies.
