The government of West Darfur has announced that studies at primary schools will resume next Sunday, March 7, 2021.
On February 10, the government of West Darfur suspended studies in the primary and secondary schools, after the student demonstrations intensified due to increase in basic commodities prices.
Chairing meeting of the educational technical committee held at the Government Secretariat Hall on Wednesday the governor of West Darfur, Muhammad Zakaria , said that all arrangements had been completed to continue the educational process despite the ecomomic and security challenges facing the state.
For his part, the Director General of the Ministry of Education and Guidance in West Darfur, Dafa Allah Adam, affirmed that the next period requires concerted efforts to ensure the continuation of the school year in the state.
