The general coordination of Darfur internally displaced people IDPs and refugees , on Saturday , accused the governor of South Darfur State , Musa Mahdi of directing his security agencies to arm militia so as to destabilize and dismantle Kalma IDP camp.
The General Coordinator of IDPs and Refugees in Darfur, Yaqoub Mohamed Abdullah Fawry, said that Governor Musa Mahdi had directed the government agencies to arm “Saleh group” with more than 160 light and heavy weapons, with the aim of destabilizing the Kalma camp, in preparation for its dismantling by spreading chaos and killing.
The Coordinator described the governor’s statements as insulting and as a sedition and beginning of the dismantling of Sudan, not just Kalma camp.
The Coordinating Committee demanded the departure of Governor Musa Mahdi today, before tomorrow, adding that , “Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdok and the components of his government must remove this governor immediately”.
The IDPs and refugees committee said it will use all peaceful means within its reach to resist the presence of Musa Mahdi in the State of South Darfur.
