The Sudanese Supreme Committee for Health Emergencies has imposed strict measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus in the country.

 The health committee held its meeting today, Wednesday, at the Republican Palace, headed by Dr. Seddik Tower, member of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Chairman of the Committee. 

Minister of Health, Omar Al-Najeeb revealed in a press statement that the committee had issued a number of decisions, which were the imposition of face coverings, sterilization and social distancing in all state institutions, schools, public transportation, places of gathering and crowding. 

The minister said, “The meeting reviewed additional reports from the Federal Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health in the states of Khartoum and Al-Jazeera, which indicated a steady increase in the number of infections and deaths.

 The Minister of Health affirmed  that the meeting ensured that protecting the citizens in Khartoum, the island and all parts of the country is  priority of his ministry
