The Saudi Al Sharq TV channel quoted sources in the Sudanese Sovereignty Council as saying that the UAE had formally notified Sudan that it had withdrawn its initiative on the border crisis with Ethiopia.
The sources stated that Abu Dhabi assured Khartoum of respecting Sudan’s position in this regard.
Sudan rejected the initiative of the United Arab Emirates regarding the conflict between Sudan and Ethiopia, and considered it a transgression of the agreed upon Sudanese position.
