Darfur 24-Nyala

On Sunday, the government of South Darfur , began a campaign to implement emergency orders to prevent vehicles without number plates from using  the city’s roads.

 

The state government deployed joint forces of police, army and rapid support forces  to implement the campaign, under the supervision of the traffic police and the governor of South Darfur, Musa Mahdi.

 

Director of traffic police in the state, Brigadier General Ahmed Ali Al-Khalifa, said that any vehicle that does not have traffic plates is not allowed on the road  from Sunday, calling on the owners of vehicles with valid certificates to go to the licensing centers in the city of Nyala

 

The Director of traffic Police confirmed that any vehicle that does not have papers or documents will be seized by the anti-smuggling forces of the Customs Authority until a decision is made.

For his part, the governor of South Darfur, Musa Mahdi, stated that any vehicle without number plates will not be allowed to use  city’s roads, its owner will be prosecuted with a fine of 300,000 pounds or 9 months in prison.
