July 27, 2021 -Darfur Bar Association DBA has condemned the attack on several areas in the north of Jebel Marra and the Sortony camp for the displaced people.
The attack which was launched by armed militias before and during the days of Eid al-Adha., led to the killing of children, women and elders.
DBA said that the continuation of the armed attack on the villages and towns of the displaced people and the camps is attributed to the phenomenon of chaos and disregard for the law and the weakness of the state authority , and that the proliferation of unlicensed weapons led to the arbitrary killing and a culture of impunity.
DBA appealed to humanitarian aid organizations to provide support and assistance to the displaced people.
