July 26, 2021 (Kauda) Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Abdel Wahed Mohamed Nour, arrived in the Kauda area, the stronghold of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement led by Abdel Aziz El-Hilu, in a visit that is considered the first of its kind.

However, Nour held closed talks with El-Hilu before addressing the leaders of the SPLM in a lengthy meeting at the Martyr Yusuf Kowa Hall in Kauda.

The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement said in a brief statement seen by Darfur24 that the leaders of the two movements agreed to form joint working committees.

The head of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Abdel Wahed Mohamed Nour, refuses to negotiate with the transitional government, and has been sticking to an initiative that he says he will launch in the next stage to resolve Sudan’s issues with the participation of all sectors of the Sudanese people.

While SPLM-N-Al-Hilu, engaged in negotiations with the transitional government in the capital of South Sudan, Juba, and the last sessions were adjourned between the two parties without making any progress on the issues presented for negotiation, especially the issue of secularism .
