August 23, 2021  (Khartoum)  Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Mohamed Hassan Al-Taishi, said that the Technical Committee for Fact-Finding on the incidents of  Koolgi area in North Darfur will deliver a summary of its final report tomorrow, Tuesday, to the Governor of North Darfur and the Security Committee.

After presiding over the committee’s meeting at the Republican Palace on Monday, Al-Taishi said that the meeting focused on the latest activities of the committees tasked with developing immediate and future remedy for the incident that took place in the Koolgi area.

Al-Taishi considered the completion of the final report an important step in laying the foundations for clarifying the facts and finding remedies, based on the principle of law enforcement and the extension of the prestige of the state.

Two weeks ago,  Kooli area, west of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State , witnessed armed confrontation  between a force of armed struggle movements that signed the Sudan Peace Agreement in Juba and armed herders , which led to the killing of a number of leaders of the movements and wounding about 17 others, while no information was received about the dead and injured herders .
