September 23, 2021 (Khartoum) The United Nations revealed that more than 300,000 people were affected by the rains and floods that hit Sudan until this month.

According to the report of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs OCHA seen by Darfur 24 today, Thursday, heavy rains and floods have affected more than 303,000 people in 14 states across the country since the start of the rainy season in July.

OCHA added that more than 14,800 homes were destroyed and 45,300 homes were damaged due to heavy rains and floods.

UN said nearly 183,000 people have been provided   various types of humanitarian aid in 14 flood-affected states, including food, shelter, water, sanitation and hygiene and food assistance.
