Jan. 9(Khartoum) The National Umma Party has announced that it welcomes invitation of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General related to dialogue between the various components of Sudanese politics to get out of the crisis, but said that it would decide on it based on the dialogue agenda presented by the initiative.
Umma party said in a statement seen by Darfur 24 “We value the efforts of the United Nations and the international community to support the Sudanese people to achieve democratic transformation in the country and the success of the transitional period”.
OnSaturday, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General of the United Nations in Sudan, Volker Peretz, announced consultations that he described as a priority for a political process between the Sudanese parties aimed at reaching an agreement to end the current political crisis and agree on a sustainable path to progress towards democracy.
