El-Fashir-Jan.11 (Darfur24) The former headquarters of the UNAMID peacekeeping mission in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, was attacked and looted again on Monday evening.

Darfur 24 correspondent from El Fasher quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the sounds of bullets continued until the moment of writing the news.

However, the compound  was attacked despite the authorities imposing a curfew in the city from six in the evening until five in the morning.

Last week, El Fasher witnessed a state of chaos and insecurity, which resulted in an attack on the headquarters of the UNAMID mission and the warehouses of the World Food Program, in addition to the stores of the Ministry of Education .

At the time, the authorities declared a state of emergency and imposed a curfew in the city to limit the lawlessness.
