Nyala, March 24 (Darfur24) Today, Thursday, the designated Wali of South Darfur, Hamid Al-Tijani Hanun, received the results of the investigation committee into the attack on the teachers of the Nyala Secondary School for Boys last week by a police force led by a first lieutenant.

Hannoun said in a press statement that the report recommended some administrative arrangements for the police officer and a teacher at Nyala Secondary School, in addition to recommending that the school be reset in terms of entrances and exits.

The head of the investigation committee, Counselor Ahmed Youssef Muhammad, said that the committee investigated all persons related to the events in the school, and indicated that the committee submitted its recommendations to the governor, and left the state security committee the right to take the necessary measures.

The Ministry of the Interior and the South Darfur State Police issued two statements apologizing to the teachers.

The Teachers’ Committee decided to stop studying completely at all stages until the officer is presented to a fair trial and the Ministry of Interior apologizes to all teachers in Sudan.

Following the incident, the State Security Committee suspended studies in the primary and secondary levels indefinitely, after massive protests over the increase in the tariff of conductors and loaves, and the assault on teachers.
