El-Daein, June 26(Darfur24) On Sunday, the Director-General of the
Ministry of Health and Social Development in East Darfur was
threatened with weapons by three armed men inside El Daein, the state
capital, then they carjacked his government vehicle.
The Director of Information of the Ministry of Health, Ahmed El-Zein,
told Darfur 24 that the director general of the ministry was
accompanied by three of his companions in one of the drug stores in
the railway district, so three gunmen threatened them and took the
vehicle at gunpoint.
Five days ago, unknown assailants hijacked a doctor’s car in front of
the health insurance clinic in El Daein and fled, however, the car was
found damaged, one kilometer from the city.
