Nyala, June 28(Darfur24) Members of the Rapid Support Forces RSF in
Radom locality, 416 km south of Nyala, the capital of South Darfur,
were looted by unknown armed men on motorcycles.

Eyewitness from Sarafaiya told Darfur 24 that the incident occurred on
Sunday afternoon while members of the Rapid Support Forces were
returning in two SUVs from the Dharaba gold mine on their way to the
Serfaya mine  were wearing civilian clothes.

The attackers seized  4 Kalashnikovs, personal pistols, phones and
money before escaping  to an unknown destination.

RSF member , residing in Radom locality, who refused to give his
name, confirmed to Darfur 24 the incident, indicating  that
reinforcement were sent  the area after similar incidents of looting
against  citizens  happened  few days ago.

For his part,  the executive director of Radom locality denied
knowledge of the incident, and told Darfur 24 that he is now in the
state capital of Nyala, and has no knowledge of the incident,  while
Darfur 24 reporter was not able to reach  RSF commander  in South
Darfur
