Khartoum , July 23(Darfur24) Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, said that the decisions announced by the President of the Sovereignty Council on July 4th to move the military establishment away from politics, they worked to formulate them together and through continuous consultation, in the spirit of one team, and in good faith, to provide solutions to the national crisis.

Dagalo added “We will not cling to an authority that will lead to spilling the blood of our people and storming the stability of our country, so we have decided together to give the revolution and national political forces the opportunity to negotiate and agree without interference from us in the military establishment”.

He continued: We have honestly decided to leave the matter of governance to civilians, and for the organized  forces to devote themselves to performing their lofty national tasks stipulated in the constitution and the law.

In a statement seen by Darfur 24, Dagalo called on the revolutionary and national political forces to expedite urgent solutions that lead to the formation of transitional governance institutions.

He cautioned against the dangers facing the country, and the need to reach urgent and effective political solutions to the current crises of the country. He said it is time to arbitrate the voice of reason, and to renounce all forms of useless conflict in which only the enemies of this country and those who lurk in it will win.

Press release

First of all, I have mercy on every soul that was killed unjustly in the Blue Nile, Darfur, eastern Sudan, Khartoum and every part of this dear country. I address you today while our country is going through crises that are the most dangerous in its modern national history. Crises that threaten its unity, safety, security and social fabric, and impose on all of us an honest and sincere stance with ourselves, and an assumption of national and moral responsibility.

The spread of tribal conflicts throughout the country, bloodshed without taking into account the sanctity of the soul that God has forbidden, and the rising voices of hatred and racism, will inevitably lead our country to collapse, which we will not be part of and we will not remain silent or silent at all about everything that threatens this country and its people. I am observing and fully aware of the internal and external schemes that lie in wait in the country.

Therefore, from this standpoint, I call on all the revolutionary forces and the national political forces to expedite urgent solutions that lead to the formation of the institutions of transitional governance.

Dear Sudanese people… Perhaps you have followed the decisions issued by the President of the Sovereign Council and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, on the fourth of this July. Of concessions, we will not cling to an authority that leads to spilling the blood of our people and ravaging the stability of our country. Therefore, we have decided together to allow the forces of the revolution and the national political forces to negotiate and agree without interfering with us in the military establishment. To perform its lofty national duties stipulated in the Constitution and the law.
