El-Fashir, September 21( Darfur24) The Ministry of Health in North Darfur revealed the spread of malaria, dengue fever,  hepatitis and monkeypox in the state.

The Director-General of the Ministry, Dr. Muhammad Idris, explained in a weekly report of the Ministry of Health – seen by Darfur24 – that hospitals and health centers have recorded about 4.582 injuries so far, indicating that this number is large compared to the previous year.

 Idris indicated that three positive cases of viral hepatitis appeared in the Abu Zreika area, south of El Fasher, in addition to dengue fever, and one positive case of monkeypox receiving treatment at the isolation center in El Fasher.

He pointed out that the ministry set health requirements and organized spraying campaigns, in addition to filling ponds and water bodies, to eliminate disease vectors.

 He called on citizens to take caution, cover pots and chlorinate water to avoid the spread of hepatitis C virus and the fever associated with the fall season.
