El-Geneina, October 4(Darfur24) Authorities in Karenik locality, West Darfur state, confirmed the crash of a World Food Program helicopter on a farm with 7 people on board, including two foreigners.

 In exclusive statements to Darfur 24, the Executive Director of Karenq locality, Nasser Al-Zein, said that a helicopter belonging to the World Food Program crashed in the “Azrni” area of Karinak locality, without any injuries to the passengers, pointing out that the passengers were transported to El Geneina by ambulance, and their conditions are stable.

Director of the Organizations Department at the Humanitarian Aid Commission in West Darfur, Mohamed Khalil, said in statements to Darfur 24 that the helicopter made an emergency landing in a farm in the Azrni area, east of El Geneina Airport.

 He pointed out that there were no injuries among the passengers of the plane, except for a slight injury to the helicopter captain.
