El-Geneina, April 11(Darfur24)On Tuesday, tribal fighting between Arab and Masiit tribes renewed again in  Forabaranga locality, 185 km south of El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur state.

 

In a brief statement to Darfur 24, the executive director of  ForBaranga locality, Muhammad Hussein Taiman, said that there was intense gunfire in Tadamon neighborhood, east of the city, in addition to burning  of houses .

 

He added, “Now the security forces are heading to the (shooting area), and our situation does not allow for more statements.”

 

On Monday, armed clashes erupted in the Furbaranga area, over the killing of two people in two separate incidents on Saturday and Sunday.

 

The Darfur 24 correspondent said that the security forces sent large military reinforcements to the Forbaranga area.

 

While the streets of the city were empty of pedestrians, a number of shop owners were seen carrying weapons to protect their shops from looting gangs.

 

Eyewitnesses reported that there were large tribal gatherings on the outskirts of the city, while the citizens of the eastern neighborhoods fled to the city center and west for  seeking safety.
