Khartoum, May 30( Darfur24) UNHCR chief philipo Gerandi said Monday that estimation which indicates that nearly one million people will flee to neighboring countries, maybe reserved, and that the conflict in Sudan warns of likelihood of human trafficking and spread of arms in a fragile zone..

Over 350.000 people have fled to Egypt, Chad and the republic of South Sudan since clashes between RSF and SAf erupted in Sudan on April 15..

More than one million of Sudan’s population that estimated at 49 million have been internally displaced since fighting between RSF and SAf broke out in Khartoum and spread to Darfur region.

Speaking to reporters after paying a visit to the Sudanese- Egyptian boarder , UNHCR chief said the UN refugee agency had earlier expected 800.000 Sudanese and 200.000 other nationalities to flee to neighboring countries within six months..

UN has urged donors to provide 470 million dollars in a course of six months to respond to Sudan refugee crisis, adding that only 10 percent of the requested sum have been injected into UN account.

Gerandi said UNHCR tries to establish itself in Wadi Halfa, northern Sudan , where it assist people between 16- 50 years to submit their applications for visa to enter Egypt.
