A member of the emergency room who preferred his identity to be kept anonymous, said that the bombing led to the killing of 17 people and a number of wounded in the Malja market, north of the city, in addition to 4 people in the airport neighborhood, northeast of the city, and more than 7 dead in the Karari neighborhood, south of the city, and more than 11 dead in various neighbourhoods in the city.

 

He stated that rescue teams are still searching for survivors under the rubble.

Today, Wednesday, Sudanese army aviation launched air strikes on several sites in the city of Nyala, which is the second time the army has bombed the city of Nyala in two weeks.

Meanwhile, a medical source at the Turkish Nyala Hospital told Darfur 24 that the hospital received – as a result of the bombing – more than 17 wounded people, some of whom were in serious condition requiring urgent surgical intervention.
