Kadugli, September 28(Darfur 24)
Clashes between the Sudanese Army and the Sudan People Liberation Movement led by Abulaziz AL-Hilu continued for the second day in a row in Kadugli, the provincial capital of Southern Kordofan State.

Eyewitnesses told Darfur 24 that the clashes took place in the “Talo and Hajar al-Mak” neighborhoods on the eastern part of the city.

Eyewitnesses added that the fighting continued until Thursday afternoon.

The sources had previously revealed secret meetings between leaders from the army and Al Hilu’s Movement held in areas south of Kadugli to coordinate formula for stopping hostilities between the two parties, but they failed to reach consensus.

The SPLM-N resumed its attacks on the city of Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan, after stopping for several weeks. Al-Hilu was in the Eritrean capital, Asmara, two weeks ago.

According to leaks about that meeting, Al-Burhan asked Al-Hilu to fight alongside the Sudanese army in its war against the Rapid Support Forces RSF
