Kadugli, 9 October (Darfur 24 clashes renewed Monday between the Sudanese army and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), led by Al-Hilu, as the latter launched an attack on the city of Dilling in South Kordofan state.

Eyewitnesses told Darfur 24 that the confrontation between the Sudanese army and the SPLM’s Al-HILU occurred in the villages of “Al-Faraqil” from the northwest direction, the village of “Al-Takma” from the east direction, and the village of “Karkaraya” from the southern direction of the city of Dilling.

Eyewitnesses added: The battles were the fiercest since the renewal of hostilities between the army and the SPLM and continued until this evening.

Darfur 24 learned that the clashes led to the displacement of large numbers of citizens to the eastern neighborhoods of the city.
