Eight people were wounded by bullets following renewed clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces RSF, on Wednesday, in the vicinity of Abu Shouk camp, east of El Fasher, the capital of Darfur state.

A Darfour 24 correspondent said that armed clashes broke out on Wednesday afternoon between the army and the Rapid Support in the Abuja camp for the displaced. He added, “The shooting began in the market of the Abuja camp, before the clashes spread to the vicinity of the nearby Abu Shouk camp.”

According to the Abu Shouk Camp Emergency Initiative, about 8 people sustained various injuries as a result of renewed armed confrontations between the two sides. They were transferred to the Southern Hospital to receive treatment.

The reporter indicated that the army sent military reinforcements to the clash area.

While dozens of displaced people fled into the city of El Fasher to escape the clashes.

The city of El Fasher is witnessing a state of tension and tension following the arrival of a member of the Sovereignty Council, Al-Taher Hajar Al-Hadi Addis, in addition to the governor of North Darfur, Nimr Abdel Rahman, as media reports indicated the group’s intention to raise the issue of removing both sides of the conflict from the city, and handing over leadership of the army to the armed struggle forces.
