January 13, 2025 Nyala – Darfur24 Airstrikes launched by Sudanese Army’s warplanes on Nyala City, Capital of South Darfur State, on Sunday evening, led to the killing of a number of civilians, including 5 members of one family, and the injury of dozens more.
Eyewitnesses told “Darfur24” that the warplanes, on Sunday evening, carried out raids on Nyala for the tenth consecutive day.
The witnesses revealed that the aircraft conducted airstrikes on the neighborhoods of Al-Wadi in the city center, Domaya in the northwest, and Al-Sikkah-Hadeed in the east.
They indicated that the raids resulted in the killing of a number of citizens, including 5 members of one family, while others sustained severe injuries.
The witnesses mentioned that the raids targeted resintial homes, which led to the destruction of some of them.
The military is accused of launching indiscriminate air strikes on areas controlled by Rapid Support Forces, often hitting civilian targets, leading to widespread criticism and growing calls for a no-fly zone in Sudan.
