El Obeid, November 20 (Darfur24)
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has reported the displacement of approximately 315 people from Al-Mazroub village in West Bara locality, North Kordofan State, due to rising insecurity in the area.
On Tuesday, elements of the Sudanese army and joint forces released videos claiming clashes with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in western Bara and said they had breached the RSF’s forward defensive lines.
According to the IOM, those displaced from Al-Mazroub have moved toward Sheikan locality in North Kordofan.
The incident is part of a wider wave of displacement across West Bara, Bara, Sheikan, Al-Rahad, Umm Ruwaba, and Umm Dam Haj Ahmed localities over the past days. An estimated 39,725 people have been displaced in North Kordofan between October 26 and November 19, according to IOM data.
