Babanusa, December 8 (Darfur24)
Military and civilian sources claim that the deputy commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Abdul Rahim Dagalo, held a meeting on Saturday with several traditional leaders from communities west of Babanusa in West Kordofan State.
The sources, speaking to Darfur24 on Sunday, alleged that the RSF leadership provided several vehicles to the Nazirs and pledged to distribute additional vehicles to the chiefs.
A local source said Abdul Rahim Dagalo vowed during the meeting that he would not return to Nyala until the RSF had seized control of Heglig in West Kordofan, El Obeid in North Kordofan, and Dilling and Kadugli in South Kordofan.
At the same time, Darfur24 observed the RSF initiating extensive mobilization around Abu Zabad, where a convoy of combat vehicles was seen moving north of the town toward Al-Dubeibat.
A well-informed military source said RSF units positioned in Al-Sunt and Abu Zabad had redeployed with their full equipment toward Al-Dubeibat.
These movements, the source added, could tighten the noose on areas of South Kordofan, as Dilling lies only about 57 kilometers from Dubeibat.
