Kordofan, January 29 (Darfur24)

Residents of Wad Musa village, about 13 kilometers east of Wad Banda in West Kordofan, reported widespread fear and panic following an attack and looting operation carried out by a Rapid Support Forces (RSF) unit on Monday.

Eyewitnesses told Darfur24 that the RSF force entered the village searching for a man they claimed was wanted in connection with a murder case under Article 130 of the Sudanese Penal Code. When they failed to locate him, the force moved to the home of citizen Mujahid Adam Salem, searched the house, and looted its contents.

Witnesses said the RSF members seized cash, gold, a solar power station, women’s household belongings, and a firearm. They added that the force threatened the village sheikh with a weapon when he attempted to intervene, forcing him to leave the scene.

Sources told Darfur24 that the unit involved came from Wad Banda and was traveling in a four-wheel-drive vehicle mounted with Dushka machine guns and other light weapons.
