March 13, 2020 (El-Geneina) Authorities in  Sudan’s West Darfur state have deployed medical teams in eight crossings along the border with the country of Chad, as a precautionary  step to curb Coronavirus.

Sudan’s West Darfur state  shares a 750 km long  border  with Chad.

Director General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Seddiq Wahbullah, said that his ministry had taken a package of precautionary measures in order to prevent the entry of Coronavirus.

“We have deployed health teams in eight border crossings with Chad and established a quarantine center where the global protocol is applied to deal with coronavirus cases” added Dr. Seddiq Wahbullah.

However,  Darfur24 has learned  that West Darfur still lacks proper medical equipment , as it does not have a single thermal examination device. So, it only depends on Primitive medical equipment.
