March 31, 2020 (Khartoum) SPLM-N chairman ,Abdul Azizi Al-hilu, announced  Tuesday, that his movement  had  extended  cessation of hostilities  in all areas that fall under its jursdiction.

In a  statement  extended to Darfur 24, the armed struggle movemment , says  the step to renew the ceasefire comes as a goodwill gesture for a peaceful solution to the Sudanese conflict, and to give the ongoing peace talks ample opportunity to succeed.

It’s  worthnoting that Abdulaziz Al-Hilu ordered all SPLM units to refrain from any hostilities except for cases of self-defense and the protection of civilians.

The Vice-Chairman of the Mediation Committee for the Sudanese Peace Negotiations in the State of South Sudan, Duo Matok, announced late February, that  Al-Hilu had agreed  to return to the negotiation table again, after   suspending  negotiations due to  dispute over secularism between his movement and the government negotiating  delegation.
