April 13, 2020 (Khartoum)Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk, in coordination with the sovereign council, issued an emergency order on Sunday in a bit to curb spread of  Coronavirus pandemic .

The Emergency Ordinance gave the police and the Public Prosecution the right to exercise all the powers conferred on it by the Criminal Procedure Law of 1991  to  enforce  orders of the competent authority.

The decision granted the police the right to take all necessary measures to enforce   orders of the authorities.

The emergency order included not attacking the medical and health cadres while performing their work, and preventing the destruction of health or medical facilities or institutions or isolation centers.

The decision called on the police to facilitate the passage of first aid, doctors, health personnel and patients during the curfew hours without delay.According to the order, appropriate health measures must be taken regarding the regulation of markets, roads and public places exempt from closure, without refraining from implementing the order to remove any temporary buildings, luggage, clothes or any tools that prove their contamination or the possibility of contamination as a result of Coronavirus pandemic.

The decision called for taking the precautionary measures prescribed for the crews of ships or aircraft and the like, and not to leave during the hours of curfew announced by the competent authorities without necessity or exception.
