The first session of the trial of Ali Mohamed Ali Abdel Rahman Kushayb, who is  accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur,  will start  at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the
Hague.

The ICC  has announced the appointment of Judge Rosario Itala to investigate Kushayb and the trial will be broadcast live in several languages.

The Hague based Court said on its official website that the first appearance of the suspect, Ali Mohamed Ali Abd al-Rahman Ali Kushayb, was scheduled for Monday 15 June 2020, at 11:00 (local time) – the
same as Sudan’s time.

“Hearing can be followed directly on the ICC website in English, French and Arabic” the court said in a statement.
