December 10, 2020 (Khartoum) Sudan has decided to strip 13,000 foreigners of their naturalized Sudanese citizenship in a bid to eradicate the misuse of Sudanese passports delivered under the former regime.

The Ministry of Interior revealed, in a statement Wednesday, issued by the Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, which ruled to withdraw nationality by naturalization.

The Ministry of Interior indicated that the decision included withdrawing the nationality of 112 people and all foreigners who obtained the Sudanese passport during the era of the former regime.

The Ministry of Interior announced its intention to contact the International Criminal Police (Interpol) and Sudanese missions abroad with details of the names of those whose citizenship withdrawn to take the necessary measures..
