El-Geneina :Darfur 24-

Sultan of Masalit tribe  Saad Abdul Rahman has accused the General Intelligence Service in West Darfur of being involved in the El Geneina communal violence,   with the knowledge of prominent leaders in the state.  A government security agency called on the leaders of the conflicting tribes in West Darfur to attend a meeting in the capital, Khartoum, to discuss the incidents of the city of El Geneina and their repercussions, and to search for solutions.  The Sultan said in his speech at the forum that Darfu that one of the General Intelligence Service officers, with the rank of lieutenant colonel, stands behind the tribal fighting  in the city of El Geneina.  The Sultan accused parties he did not name of issuing misleading statements in the name of the Sultanate of Darmsalit.  The tribal chief   confirmed that the Masalit tribe was ready to participate in the forum, but the large number of armed parties and movements obstructed participation of Masalit.
