August 23, 2021 (Khartoum) On Monday, the Governor of the Darfur region, Minni Arko Minawi, issued a decree appointing Dr. Tawhidah Abdul Rahman Yusef as Secretary-General of the Government of Darfur region.
The appointment of Tawhidah was based on the constitutional decree of 2021 issued by the Transitional Sovereignty Council, which stipulated establishment of regional government in Darfur region.
