El-Geneina March 6(Darfur24) At least two people were killed, seven others were wounded and four were missing in tribal fighting near Jebel Moon 75, north of El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur state.
Sources told Darfur24 that two armed men were killed after an armed group attempted to loot livestock from a shepherd in an area adjacent to the Seleia area in Jebel Moon, while seven others were wounded and are being transferred to El Geneina Hospital.
The sources indicated that there are four missing persons, and communication with them was cut off after the clashes intensified. Since last November, the Jebel Moon region has witnessed tribal fighting between the Arab tribes and the Misiriya Jabal tribe, which resulted in dozens of deaths and the displacement of hundreds of families.
On the tenth of December 2021 , a mediation committee of the Rapid Support Forces RSF and the Sudan Liberation Movement, Minawi’s wing, managed to reach an agreement to stop hostilities between the two warring parties.
