Mach 6 (Darfur24) Two local aid workers in Darfur were killed Saturday, in a shooting by gunmen in the Jebel Moon area.
According to an internal message for the international Concern organization, seen by Darfur24, the employee Yaqoub Yousef, who works for the organization, died after armed clashes broke out between tribes in the area.
The letter, signed by the organization’s director in West Darfur, Fateh al-Rahman, added, “I regret to inform you of the confirmation of the killing of an employee in the Nutrition Department, Yaqoub Yousef, and another volunteer in one of the organizations, Muhammad Adam, during an armed attack on the Jebel Moon area on Saturday evening, while 7 others were wounded in the same attack.” The poor communication network in the region reduces access to more information.
